By accessing or using CineTrail at cinetrail.app (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. CineTrail is an independent project, not a commercial product operated by a company. These terms reflect that reality — they are written plainly and honestly.
CineTrail is an AI-powered movie companion. It allows users to search for films and unlock three types of AI-generated narrations: a spoiler-free critical review, a scene-by-scene plot breakdowns, and a character analysis. Users may create an account to save a personal library of movies they have unlocked. A credits system controls how many AI-generated narrations a user can request.
Scene summaries and plot explanations on CineTrail are generated by an AI model (Google Gemini) from structured, verified plot data. While we take reasonable steps to ensure the source data is accurate, AI-generated text can contain errors, omissions, or misinformation. CineTrail makes no warranty that any plot summary, scene description, or explanation is complete, accurate, or free from error.
If you identify an inaccuracy, please use the contact form to report it. Reports are reviewed and corrections are made on a best-effort basis.
The CineTrail platform — including its design, code, and the original text of AI-generated summaries — is the property of CineTrail and its creator. Plot facts themselves are not copyrightable; however, the specific language of our AI-generated summaries is original to this platform and may not be reproduced wholesale without permission.
Movie titles, posters, and metadata displayed on CineTrail are the property of their respective rights holders. Poster images are provided by the OMDB API and serve an informational purpose under fair use principles.
You may use CineTrail as a guest to read publicly available content, or create an account via Google Sign-In to access additional features including a personal library and AI summary generation. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
CineTrail reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the credits system, or attempt to access the service in ways that circumvent intended usage limits.
AI-generated narrations (reviews, plot breakdowns, and character analyses) consume credits. New accounts receive a starting credit balance. Credits are not a currency, cannot be transferred, and hold no monetary value. CineTrail reserves the right to adjust credit costs, starting balances, and credit availability at any time without prior notice.
You agree not to:
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract content from the Service.
Attempt to bypass credit limits, authentication, or rate limiting.
Reproduce AI-generated summaries at scale for use on other websites or platforms.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
CineTrail is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be accurate or complete. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CineTrail and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to reliance on inaccurate plot summaries. CineTrail is an independent hobby project, not a commercial entity.
These Terms of Service may be updated at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
